Nikki Haley 2024 Presidential Campaign Ad
2024 U.S. Republican Presidential candidate and former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley has launched a TV advertisement targeting her home state of South Carolina.
The ad, titled 'Haley's story begins now,' was publicly released on Haley's YouTube account on the 24th. From the beginning, it takes aim at both current U.S. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
In the ad, while the camera focuses on Biden, a caption appears saying, "Biden, you've gotten too old." It then turns to a displeased-looking Trump and says, "Trump, too much chaos."
Haley, who lost to Trump in both the first and second Republican primaries held in Iowa and New Hampshire, is facing criticism, particularly for her primary loss in New Hampshire, which was not a caucus but a primary election.
As Trump won all the Republican primaries, the prevailing view in U.S. politics is that this election is seen as a 'rematch' between him and the Democratic President Biden.
Haley's ad seems to be targeting precisely this point. The video transitions to a scene where Biden and Trump stand side by side on the stage, stating, "No one wants a rematch."
It continues, saying, "There is a better choice for a better future. Her (Haley's) story begins right here. The youngest governor of South Carolina, a proud conservative Republican."
The ad concludes with, "Nikki Haley will cut taxes, secure our borders, and confront the threat of Chinese communism. Strength and pride, a new chapter for America."
After the New Hampshire primary on the 23rd, there has been increasing pressure on Haley to resign from both inside and outside the Republican Party. If she fails to achieve significant results in her 'home' state of South Carolina, her path to completing the candidacy is expected to become even more challenging.
